Whenever you are advertising or marketing to anyone it is always important to know who you are talking to…
This might sound like a hard thing to do, but it really isn’t too difficult to understand what people are looking for, especially if you have experience in the niche you are marketing to.
For example, it would be difficult to know the wants and needs of rock climbers if you have never rock climbed in your life. On the other hand, if you are passionate about rock climbing it would be easy to identify with the needs of fellow rock climbers.
Well, the same is true for network marketing. If you have been in a network marketing company then you can automatically associate with the needs and wants of people in the network marketing industry.
Chances are you came online to learn more about getting leads and growing your network marketing business. Or you came online to research a company that you were just introduced to. Well, that is what a lot of other people are going to be doing as well. So you want to target your content to relate to your fellow network marketer and let them know that you have found a legitimate solution to a major problem that they are facing. You want to let people know that you have experienced what they are going through, you feel their pain.

For example,
I remember one day a friend told me that his upline made him drive around with them and zip-tie poster boards to the middle of busy intersections. Not only was this terribly ineffective, but he also felt like he was spamming the community with these dumb posters everywhere.
If you know who you are talking to, and you can relate to them, then it will make your content and marketing much more powerful because they know that you are a real person who faced the same problems that they are facing in their business. Once you have related to the person you can link them to your site so they can get more information about a solution to their problem.
Target Market To The People Who Are Looking
One of the coolest things about the internet is that it allows you to laser target prospects. You can target specific keywords, for example if someone types in “xyz company training“ then you know that this person is looking for more training and they are in (xyz company). If you are actually in (xyz company) then you should easily be able to relate with the prospect because you know exactly what they are being taught. So if you decide to market to this company in any way you want to craft your message so that your prospect feels like you are their friend and you are there to help them. Of coarse you are there to help them and provide them with a solution, but they will not listen to you if you look like just another person trying to get money from them.
How Did You Feel?
Think about any feelings or thoughts that you had when you were searching for answers. If you are reading this, you had to have started somewhere and there has to be someone who is searching for knowledge that you may have. Think about any problems or hurdles that you faced when you joined your first network marketing company. When you remember the problem that you overcame, offer a solution to that same problem to your prospect or list.
The object is to help people by offering them a solution to their problems. The more people you help with their problems, the more success you will have. The bigger impact you have on people’s lives the bigger you will become. So go out there and start offering solutions because people in our industry are going to continue to search for better ways to grow their business.
*If you think that you don’t have any solutions to offer, I would have to say that you must know a more effective marketing strategy than plastering posters all over the place.
